The Friends of Temagami invites you to attend our Annual General Meeting, hosted by Smoothwater Outfitters and Lodge on Oct. 13, 2018. All dues-paying members are welcome to attend.
Our yearly meeting is a chance for all members to get involved and learn more about everything we’ve been up to.
The AGM will begin at 9:00 a.m. and lunch will be provided courtesy of FOT. If you have any special dietary restrictions or want to bring something to share, please feel free to contribute to the spread. The meeting will continue into the afternoon and be followed by a board of directors meeting. Members not on the board are welcome to attend this meeting or take advantage of the Smoothwater property and go for a hike or a paddle. Dinner will be provided by the lodge for $36 per person.
Save Wolf Lake - Documentary
We are very excited to announce that we will be screening the premiere of our Save Wolf Lake documentary produced by Red Tent Media. The movie will be shown after lunch.
2018 Speaker
Jodi Johnston is a member of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation. She has guided youth trips through Temagami in every season and will be speaking about her experiences here, her work developing Indigenous language courses, the importance of Indigenous studies and the history of the Indian Act in Temagami.

Other Stuff (but still important)
We’ve been very busy this year with forest management plans, trail maintenance, awareness campaigns and membership growth. It’s been a big year for us with both challenges and major successes. An agenda will be made available soon.
If you are unable to attend, you may still vote by proxy. As a member in good standing of the Friends of Temagami you have the option of assigning another member your proxy vote. You may designate your proxy to any other FOT member in good standing. We will send out a list of Directors who will be in attendance at this year’s meeting along with a proxy form shortly.
